Welcome to EquiLibrium Therapeutic Massage!

Healthy tissue does not hurt!     Having personally experienced muscle tension, headaches, and the aches and pains associated with an active lifestyle, I have found that massage therapy allows me to function normally without the aid of pharmaceuticals or invasive surgical procedures. I understand how it feels to be in pain and the negative emotional impact it can cause. It is my honor and privilege to bring relief to my clients through the application of massage tailored to their individual needs.

No fluff!     My focus is on the therapeutic aspect of massage in a clinical but relaxing atmosphere. No gimmicks, just one of the oldest forms of healing based upon the simple power of human touch.  I have no product line to sell, no aromatic oils or obscure spa treatments. I utilize a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy and trigger point therapy, as well as isolated stretching to help address muscle tightness, pain and discomfort caused by stress, overworked muscles, or injury. If you suffer from fibromyalgia, arthritis, headaches, temporal mandibular joint dysfunction, carpal tunnel, golfer/tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, sciatica, neck or back pain, and have been unable to find relief through allopathic remedies, massage therapy can make a difference in your life. Massage can decrease and will often completely eliminate the pain and discomfort associated with these conditions, while increasing circulation, flexibility and range of motion. Massage can also dramatically shorten the recovery period after injury or surgery. Unlike massage results that last no longer than a whiff of aromatic oil, you will feel the benefits of this massage for days, and the more consistent you are with receiving massage the longer the results begin to last.

Invest in yourself!     Self-care plays a huge part in how healthy you’ll be and how youthful you’ll remain with each passing year. Budgeting time and money for bodywork at consistent intervals is truly an investment in your health. Just because massage feels like a pampering treat does not mean it is any less therapeutic. Consider massage a necessary part of your health and wellness plan, and establish a treatment schedule that best meets your needs. Affordable prices make EquiLibrium Therapeutic Massage the place to incorporate massage into your health regimen; great massages make EquiLibrium Therapeutic Massage a place you will return to again and again.

There is no denying the power of massage!     Regardless of what you call it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons you seek it out, massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.

I invite you to experience one of my massages for yourself! I’m located on Valleydale Road, approximately two miles east of I-65 on the right in the building with Weichert Realty.

About me!     I have been in love with horses for as long as I can remember and always lived vicariously through my friends that owned horses. I always dreamed of working with horses, but my life went on a completely different path. It was not until I bought my first horse at the age of 42 that I was able to make that dream come true.

After being in the legal field for 20 years, I decided I wanted to do something more rewarding and felt that through massage, I could live my dream! I truly believe massage is more than a new career path for me…it is the beginning of a wonderful journey.

I attended the Birmingham School of Massage and studied equine massage at Animal Dynamics in Ocala, Florida under the tutelage of Don Doran. Immediately upon graduating from the Birmingham School of Massage, I obtained my National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB #560252-08). I am licensed by the State of Alabama (AL #2669/E #1723), a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA #215704) and a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB).
